COUNTER CULTURE COFFEE

Located off of Memorial Drive in Grant Park, the new Counter Culture Coffee training center will bring newly hired baristas into the space to learn about the coffee harvesting and roasting process, utilizing espresso machines, and mastering pour over equipment. The first floor includes a front training space equipped with two La Marzocco espresso machines, a built-in pour over table, and custom shelves for merchandise display at the front window and large entry wall. The back of house includes an education and gathering space with custom-built tables and booth seating, as well as a fully equipped kitchen and built-in technician space. This project features custom dyed plywood, orange accents and fixtures, and varied blue-toned finishes as an allusion to Counter Culture branding. The resulting space is one that is simultaneously playful and approachable and yet wholly sophisticated.
